Our Stories

This past year, our own co-workers faced desperate times as they struggled through situations like  hearing the words “brain tumor” from their child’s physician, waking up in the middle of the night to a house on fire and escaping with nothing more than the clothes on their back, and even finding a safe house to live in after running from an abusive environment.

Most of us cannot imagine not having a home to go to, but for one Hope Fund recipient, this was a reality. Thanks to the generosity of so many donors this past year, the Hope Fund was able to step in and help when it was needed most. We would like to share with you her words of appreciation:

“I would like to thank the HCA Hope Fund for helping my daughter and I during a very challenging time in our life. We were homeless for two weeks and unsure what the next day would bring. With the help of the Hope Fund, we were able to get our own place. We are very thankful for the generosity shown to us. I never thought I would be in that particular situation but I am so grateful for the help we were given.” -A grateful recipient
