Karla is a Customer Support Specialist based in Missouri. She helps source supplies for clinics and hospitals, she explained, “anything from a Band-Aid to a syringe to a suture.” At a recent family reunion, Karla joined in on a game of kickball and took a hard fall, fracturing her humerus in two places.

The pain was terrible for a long time. She was out of work for three months as she healed and completed her physical therapy. She fell behind on bills and worried about how to make ends meet. Fortunately, her HR representative, Kristen, encouraged her to apply to the Hope Fund.

Karla remembers the moment she learned she would be getting help: “It popped up on my screen that I was approved, and I just ran into the office and squeezed the life out of her. It was the best feeling of relief I could have asked for.” Karla is so grateful to her colleagues for the help she received and encourages everyone who can donate to the Hope Fund to do so.
