Lauren Buckley is the PR & Marketing Manager at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado where she has worked for over a year now. While this is her official role at the hospital she has also served as the Campaign Leader for the Hope Fund. Lauren has a heart for helping others through the Hope Fund which no doubt has contributed to the success of the campaign at Sky Ridge Medical Center this year. Join me in getting to know more about Lauren and the Hope Fund campaign at Sky Ridge.

What do you enjoy most about your role with the Hope Fund?
The Hope Fund impacts thousands of families every year and it is extremely rewarding to rally employees and promote this wonderful cause. Each year, Sky Ridge sets a goal on how much funds we hope to raise and it drives me as a Campaign Leader to do better. Being able to educate employees on the Hope Fund and find new ways to promote the foundation is tremendously fulfilling.

If you could tell employees why they should become involved with the Hope Fund, what would you say?
Being involved in the Hope Fund is more than just promoting a non-profit organization. It’s more than helping employees who work at Sky Ridge….It’s about helping our friends and family. One tactic Sky Ridge used this year that was impactful for employees was sharing employee testimonials. By working with HR, I was able to get consent from employees who had received aid from the Hope Fund and were open to sharing their story. These testimonials were shared with the staff and physicians at Sky Ridge which made the cause more personal for those who choose to give. It gives reasoning behind the donation when we see first-hand how it impacts those around us.

What does the Hope Fund mean to employees at your facility?
Our employees know the Hope Fund is a resource for them to use in times of need and many of our employees have been able to benefit from the generosity of the foundation. Our Department Champions are passionate about the Hope Fund and encourage coworkers to donate and give back. We hold numerous fundraisers throughout the year to make donating fun and easy!

What was one of the most interesting vacations you have been on?

Rome, Italy

What is the 1 thing in this world you are most proud of?

Graduating from Colorado State University with honors
